DANNION BRINKLEY

Did you know Dannion is a great inventor? He, actually, invented a device for the U.S. Navy. An ingenious device that helps keep barnacles from accumulating on the gigantic sea vessels of the Navy. Twenty-five years ago, the subject of NDE’s (near death experiences) were thought to be of the devil or hallucinations of the mind. Dannion Brinkley had three NDE’s. What he experienced is extremely rare and it seems he is not alone. An estimated 14 million Americans are associated with having an NDE, among those is Elizabeth Taylor. When Dannion says we do not die, he means our spirit never dies.

Dannion’s modern story begins in 1975, when he was 25. He was talking on a telephone at home when he was struck in the head by lightning that went through his spine. The tremendous force of the shock rattled his entire nervous system. It burned all the hair off his body. It knocked him into the air and suspended him there, threw his smoky body back down to the floor in his home with a shudder all the while leaving him shoeless. The force of the lightning threw him up into the air and welded his shoes to the nails of the floor. After he was taken by ambulance, he was clinically reported as dead.
In 1978, the lightning strike was repeated and Dannion was rushed to the hospital. In 1989, he collapsed from heart failure. He had open heart surgery, whereupon he had his second near death experience. Dead for 56 minutes here. Ostensibly over the years he has had three NDE’s.
The changes that occurred to him he carries over to the present. Dannion genuinely is committed to helping people with healthcare, coping with the present life, and encouraging the nature of the spiritual sense in us, which is too often missing.
His involvement with children is insurmountable and he continuously works with orphanages worldwide.
During the years he fulfilled one of his visions, which was to create a center for the terminally ill. The hospice center, totaling 20-25 branches nationwide, is officially called Compassion In Action, built by 1992. It is a non-profit organization. He has recruited over 5,000 members, and practices what he preaches, namely health care. Compassion In Action was chosen to be included in the December 2000 issue of The Oprah Magazine. He is not a minister nor associated with any cult or denomination. He is quick and alert to understand the nature of things, is unafraid to work himself to death, pardon the expression, and can feel one’s energy fields. Dannion continuously works with World War II veterans.
